Lighting installation
The right lighting transforms a space. Whether you’re upgrading a single room or replanning the lighting throughout your whole home, our electricians design and install lighting that works for how you live.
Task lighting over worktops, under cabinet LED strips and ceiling downlights. Kitchen lighting needs to be practical first and stylish second. We plan and install kitchen lighting that does both.
Bathroom lighting must comply with IP ratings for zones around water. Our certified electricians install safe, compliant bathroom lighting including mirrors with integrated lighting, spotlights and shaver sockets.
LED lighting is energy efficient, long lasting and available in a huge range of colour temperatures. We install LED downlights, strip lighting and mood lighting throughout homes across the North East.
Security lighting, pathway lighting, patio lighting and feature lighting. All weatherproof and safely installed by our electricians across Newcastle, Gateshead, North Tyneside, South Tyneside and Northumberland.
EICR & landlord certificates
An Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR) is a full inspection of your property’s electrical installation. It identifies any damage, deterioration or dangerous conditions that
An EICR is required in several situations. Landlords are legally required to have one every five years or at the start of a new tenancy, mortgage lenders and insurers increasingly require one for older properties and many solicitors request one as part of a house sale. Even if it is not legally required an EICR gives you peace of mind that your home’s electrics are safe.
Private landlords in England are legally required to have a valid EICR carried out by a qualified electrician every five years. Our electricians carry out landlord EICRs across Newcastle, Gateshead, North Tyneside, South Tyneside and Northumberland, providing your certificate on completion.
More buyers and solicitors are requesting EICRs as part of the conveyancing process. Having a current EICR speeds up the sale process and gives buyers confidence in the property’s electrical installation. We carry out EICRs for house sales across the North East with fast turnaround times.
If your EICR identifies that your fuse board needs upgrading or if you are adding significant new electrical load such as an EV charger or solar panels, we install modern consumer units that are safe, compliant and future-proofed for your home’s needs.
With electric vehicles becoming the norm across the North East, a home EV charger is fast becoming an essential rather than a luxury. Charging at home costs a fraction of public charging rates and means your car is ready every morning without planning around a charging stop.
A dedicated home charger charges your vehicle up to three times faster than a standard three-pin plug. Most electric vehicles can be fully charged overnight, giving you a full range every morning and significant savings on public charging costs over time.
Our electricians will assess your home’s electrical supply and advise you on the best charger for your vehicle and lifestyle before any work begins. We work with a range of leading charger brands including Zappi, Hypervolt and Ohme but are not limited to these, so if you have a preferred brand in mind we are happy to discuss it.
Every installation starts with a full load assessment of your home’s electrical supply. We install the charger in the most practical location, typically a garage wall or driveway, wire it safely back to your consumer unit and provide full certification on completion.
